March 17, 2015

There were some moments indoors before the spring sunshine beckoned us outdoors…the boys made a homegrown breakfast of eggs and sausage on the cookstove, while one of our kitty’s rested in some wool I was spinning…

March 2015 - the boys cooking breakfast

March 2015 - cozy cat

I finished spinning and plying some very special yarn for a wee little bird yet to be born, and discovered a new place for our napping Pippi and Pumpkin ~ kitty bunkbeds…

Outdoors, we took care of some chores…taking water to the sheep and checking on our gardens…

March 2015 - chores

March 2015 - how does the garden grow

There were logs to be shortened and bike jumps to be built…

March 2015 - sawing logs 1

March 2015 - sawing logs 2

March 2015 - taking air

A little cardboard box fire in the driveway followed by some chicken cuddles…

March 2015 - burning

March 2015 - chicken love 2

And now the babes sleep deeply with windows opened like a sliver to let in the cool, earthy smells of spring awakening.

Yes, today was a good day.

Oh, that sweet soft pink yarn:)
I love the picture of your boys at the cookstove and your sweet girl in her skirt, bonnet and cowgirl boots.
Thinking of you,
Tonya

We’re jealous of your open windows! And playing in all that dirt… sure looks like fun! Still below freezing here in Massachusetts and, while sunny today, awfully cold and windy! Our oldest did spend a little time outside barefoot (in the one tiny snow-free patch of yard) but even he couldn’t take much enjoyment in it. Yet!

Ah Jules, it does indeed look like a perfect day.
As you know, we are not quite as far into spring as you are! So very strange! But I am so glad you are getting to enjoy such warmth and sunshine.
Oh, we love fires too!
I think that must be the yarn. .. I am so excited!

Looks very fun. We are digging out of two feet of fresh snow here in Nova Scotia. Love the Kittys.
